Pipe Bursts at Plymouth RMV
A pipe burst has forced the closure of the RMV's Plymouth service center, which will remain closed until at least October 10th. The registry announced the explosion, which was occasioned by an unclear circumstance. As a result, there will be no RMV services in that area until further notice.
The Plymouth facility is one of six service centers and one branch office run by the Registry of Motor Vehicles across the state. Officials are yet to indicate the next course of action before reopening the center, but after repairs have been undertaken, the office will go back online.
The service center is where drivers in Plymouth and surrounding towns can drop off license and title applications, get their inspection stickers, and pay their overdue bills. It is said that drivers in the area are being advised to go to one of a handful of other locations around the state. However, road tests scheduled in Plymouth will still be carried out when it is decided that the center is up and running again.
The RMV center has been serving Plymouth and its neighboring towns for a long time, and it is one of the places where driver's licenses can be issued. Ongoing repairs are expected to be completed sometime before the end of October.
