New Jersey has two especially important state holidays coming up. This means State agencies, including the motor vehicle commission, will be closing their physical facilities. Once the holidays are over, the agencies will reopen for business.

In honor of Election Day, on November 8, 2022, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will be closed. General elections are being held in the State to select federal public officials. The motor vehicle commission will also be closed on Friday of the same week, out of respect to the veterans who served in the military. Veteran's Day takes place on November 11, 2022.

The online services of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will not be affected by the closure of the physical office. The more than 30 services available at NJMVC.gov will still be functioning. Residents will still be able to go online and take care of their needs for licenses and registrations. Appointment services will function as normal also, the appointments will just be held on the next available business day. Appointments can be made to take a driving test, receive a REAL ID, get a permit, and take care of issues involving registrations and titles. There are more services that can be taken care of in addition to these.
