BEIRUT, Lebanon - The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) recently announced that the state's online driver's license knowledge assessment service now supports two additional languages. These languages are Chinese and Spanish.

One of the new languages that will be taught is Dari, and Pashto is another one. We have increased the number of languages available to choose from on our website to fourteen so that we can better serve our customers worldwide.

"This was a good opportunity to expand our services and provide clients with more options for driver's license testing," said Brad Schaffer, director of the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). It is simple to join up, available at all times, and grants rapid access to testing from any location in the world so long as you have an internet connection.

Customers who wish to take the online test, which costs $10 and requires a computer equipped with a keyboard, mouse, and camera, must have access to such a device. Tablets and mobile phones are examples of devices that are not compatible.

After the customer has completed the exam, they will be sent an email that contains a link to schedule an appointment with their local DMV. When persons produce the required documentation at that location, they can submit an application for a learner's permit and get it once it has been approved.

Since the beginning of the process in December 2021, more than 4,500 people have taken the examinations online.
