Houston Missouri License Office Now Open

The Houston License Office, which had been closed for about a year, reopened on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 8 am, according to a statement from the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The Houston License office is situated at 1591 N Highway 63, Suite F, in the Houston Center. Call (417) 967-3878 from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. For the final four days of the month, operations are open from 8 am to 5 pm. The workplace is available during lunch. Stetson Stevens was awarded the management contract for the Houston License Office on June 30, 2022. In Missouri, all license office contracts are awarded through a competitive bidding process. Independent contractors operate the offices, which the Missouri Department of Revenue oversees.

The Missouri Department of Revenue had previously confirmed the closure of the Houston License Office, which was by then run by Cynthia Blates, who also runs state fee offices in Willow Springs and Mountain View.

The Office of Administration was responsible for looking for bids to run the Houston License Office, which opened on Friday and closed on October 29 at 2 pm. The terms were outlined in a 47-page solicitation that interested applicants filled out online at https://missouribuys.mo.gov.

During the period the office was closed, clients opted for license offices in Salem, Rolla, Mountain Grove, Willow Springs, and Mountain View. The Missouri Department of Revenue stated that the Rolla office would handle customized license plates.
