Saturday Hours For Driver’s Licenses, State Ids, And Road Tests Now Available In Honolulu
As of December 30, the City and County of Honolulu have announced that additional Saturday hours will be available for driver’s licenses, state ID, and road test services. This is part of an effort to make obtaining a driver’s license or state ID easier for residents of Honolulu.
According to the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Customer Services, the new Saturday hours will be available on a rotating basis at four locations in Honolulu: the Palama Service Center, the Kapolei Service Center, the Koʻolau Driver Licensing Center, and the Sheridan Park Road Test Office. Each service center will be open from 8 am to 4 pm on the designated Saturdays, and customers can make appointments for these services online or by calling the service center.
The first Saturday hours will be available on January 7 at the Palama Service Center, and the following locations will have Saturday hours available in the upcoming months:
• Palama Service Center – January 7, February 4, and March 18
• Kapolei Service Center – January 18, February 11, and March 11
• Koʻolau Driver Licensing Center – January 14, February 18, and March 4
• Sheridan Park Road Test Office – January 14, February 25, and March 4
The City and County of Honolulu are encouraging residents to take advantage of the new Saturday hours to make obtaining a driver’s license or state ID more convenient. All customers who plan to visit the service centers are asked to arrive on time for their appointments and to bring the necessary documents, such as a valid ID and proof of residency.
The Honolulu Department of Customer Services also noted that road tests would be available for customers who have already taken the written test and have received their learner’s permit. Customers can book road test appointments online or by calling the service center.
