I do not understand why this DMV office does not have a working phone line. The public should be able to talk to a person working in that office. We don't need to talk to Austin, since we need to talk to someone in Gilmer.

The mandatory scheduling in order to renew a license is done in an incredibly ineffective manner. There are not enough appointments available.

I went to the Hurst office last year for my renewal. The rep scrutinized my birth certificate comparing it to the two-page form that I had filled out there. She went over it three or four times checking every tiny detail and then at the end she asked me if I was of Hispanic descent. I stated no. What was that all about?
